Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Lines build up quickly after school and in the evening, especially near colleges. Most of these businesses accept cards and mobile pay and skew younger in clientele and atmosphere.

Newark is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Newark is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We were looking for dessert place one Saturday evening and found this in Newark open late ! They were celebrating their 1st anniversary and we got to try their pancakes as well. We then ordered their Dubai chocolate brownie It looked visually appealing with the kataifi and the pistachio spread. One bite in and you know the calories are worth it I love both the items on the menu and will definitely be back to try more

We had three different bases and all the bases were excellent: waffle, brownie and vanilla cake. Lots of free toppings like syrups nuts, sprinkles, whipped cream, etc.plus premium toppings like seasonal fruits, Ferrero Rocher, etc. It was all awesome. Don't forget to add ice cream! Also, the owners and staff were super helpful and friendly!

This was amazing the desserts were so fresh and the drink we got was a good compliment. We ordered the Dubai strawberry cup which was so good the crepe was sweet and buttery and the cookie butter me up drink was bitter and sweet. Everything was fantastic

New-ish dessert place (10 months as of May 2026), open late. Food is good and not too expensive but insanely sweet. Have some restraint and don't go crazy with the toppings just because they're unlimited (and be careful because some of the possible combinations don't pair well together). I would recommend ice cream (costs $3 extra), whipped cream, or even nuts to cut some of the sweetness. Would love if they had some savory snacks (mozzarella sticks, fries, wings, samosas or puffs or something) too, but I realize the minute you add savories you double the workload for the kitchen so I guess that's an unfair ask. Even some plainer drinks like iced or hot coffee, tea, or chai that you can add sugar to your own tastes would be nice. Service was really good from the owner(?), whom we witnessed explaining how it worked and what everything was to other customers. Us, not so much. Luckily I had done the research beforehand, but I would have liked to have gotten the whole spiel in person. No restroom for paying customers makes this a very uncomfortable place to hang out, yet they have games as if they expect you to hang out. I think it's a basic courtesy for a business that has dining in
